Biography
Dr. Kehbuma Langmia teaches courses in mass communications, broadcast journalism, and media studies at Bowie State University. With previous degrees in fine arts, television, and film, Dr. Langmia was awarded his PhD in mass communication and media studies by the Department of Journalism at Howard University; his dissertation was on the Internet as the construction of the immigrant public sphere. He has had significant publications in the area of new media, mass communication, and interpersonal communication. A graduate from the Television Academy in Munich, Germany, Dr. Langmia continues to produce and direct independent productions. He also serves as executive producer for students' television projects at Bowie State University.
