My main education is Computer Science and Engineering. Some years ago I came into contact with a strange concept: free software. For me, at the time, it wasn't more than costless software that I needed for a college assignment. But eventually I realized that it was more than that, it was software that allows me to use it the way I want it, to help myself (freedom to adapt the software to my own purposes), to help others (freedom to redistribute the software), to help the community (freedom to distribute modified versions).
