Biography
Hopeton Dunn (Ph.D.) is a communications scholar, researcher and policy analyst on the staff of the University of the West Indies, Mona. He currently holds an endowed Chair in Telecommunications Policy and Management at the Mona School of Business. Dr Dunn completed his bachelors Degree at the University of the West Indies and later pursued his Masters and Doctoral Degrees at City University of London. He is the author or co-author of several books and numerous scholarly articles on broadcasting, telecommunications, tourism and culture, and information technology. He has lectured or presented academic papers in Africa, Asia, Latin America and North America, and currently heads a division of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR), which the largest global association of research scholars in media, communication and development.
Dr Dunn is Chairman of Jamaica’s Broadcasting Commission and serves on several other public and private sector boards.
