Description
Digital Rights is a non-profit civil organisation aimed at raising awareness of rights in the digital world. Digital Rights was founded in April 2000 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The aim of Digital Rights is to protect human rights on Internet by securing that individuals receive the level of protection, which is ensured in the physical world. Digital Rights believe that the current policy development potentially undermines human rights, especially in the field of freedom of expression and privacy.
Digital Rights comment, lecture, campaign and network with other groups concerned with human rights in the digital era. Topics include anti-terror legislation, data retention and exchange, camera surveillance, search engines, filters and content rating.
