Abstract
This study explores the concept of community integration in substantial empirical detail, and examines its relationship to local media usage, via data gathered through a telephone survey of residents of Madison, Wisconsin. The results suggest a strong relationship between community integration and media usage. They also suggest a significant relationship between media usage and political interest, knowledge, and participation.
