Amy Johnson studied communication, with a focus on independent, community media, at LaSalle University.  Upon graduation, she worked as a program coordinator with Media Tank, a Philadelphia-based media education and advocacy organization. At Media Tank, she began Philly Media Watch, a local media monitoring project, where she continues to work as a volunteer organizer. She now does community outreach for WYBE, an independent community TV station in Philadelphia, with a major focus on the station’s new participatory media service, MiND TV.
